  Leukorrhea reflects the health of the body in terms of smell, colour, quantity and quality. Abnormal leucorrhoea can cause damage to the female organism. If the colour of the leucorrhoea is abnormal, it is a sign of leucorrhoea abnormality and women should pay more attention to it. What is the colour of normal leukorrhea? Physicians point out that leukorrhea is composed of secretions from the cervix, uterus and vaginal exudate. Normal leukorrhea should be milky white or colourless and transparent, with a slightly fishy or odourless taste.

  Physician reminds: Abnormal colour of the leucorrhoea should be alert to gynecological diseases.

  (1) yellowish or yellowish-green leucorrhoea, leucorrhoea odour (with fishy smell), large amount, purulent with foam, also accompanied by vulvar itching. It is mostly seen in trichomonas vaginitis.

  (2) Leukorrhea is yellowish, increasing, thick and sticky, sometimes with a small amount of blood, accompanied by lower abdominal distension, lumbar and back pain, and bleeding symptoms in severe cases. It is mostly seen in chronic cervicitis.

  (3) Brown, watery leucorrhoea with a musty smell, suspected to be caused by vaginitis, or intrauterine device.

  (4) Leucorrhoea with blood, the amount of blood varies. You should be alert to cervical polyps, acute vaginitis, etc..
