Cervical hypertrophy is often self-perceived by patients due to noticeable changes in the cervix. Consequently, it is easily diagnosed during examinations, and patients can also identify the condition based on self-reported symptoms of pronounced cervical enlargement. Abnormal vaginal discharge is one of the most prominent manifestations of cervical hypertrophy.Women with cervical hypertrophy may notice abnormal vaginal discharge. Most patients experience increased discharge volume, often appearing as a milky white, mucus-like consistency. Some may also observe a pale yellow, pus-like discharge, frequently accompanied by vaginal bleeding or irregular bleeding after intercourse.
Beyond pronounced discharge changes, some women with cervical hypertrophy may experience bleeding. Certain patients exhibit marked congestion at the cervical os, making it prone to bleeding. Consequently, contact bleeding may occur. Clinically, some women may also present with irregular vaginal bleeding or blood-tinged discharge.
Due to variations in the severity of cervical hypertrophy, patient age, pathogens, and physical constitution, abnormal vaginal discharge patterns are not uniformly consistent. Women noticing unusual discharge or irregular bleeding should seek prompt medical attention.
