1. Ear Cup Massage: Cleansing Toxins from the Five Organs
The ear cup is the central area of the ear, housing acupuncture points corresponding to the five major organs. Stimulating these points harmonizes organ function. Since the ear cup is hard to rub, use your finger to massage it.
Ear Cup Scraping
Trim the nail of your index or middle finger. Insert it into the ear cup and scrape back and forth, aiming to reach every part of the cavity. Perform 100 scrapes daily, but avoid excessive force.Generally, individuals with robust and agile limbs have a wider outer edge of the auricle; those with slender limbs tend to have a relatively narrower outer edge. Regularly massaging the outer edge of the auricle can strengthen the limbs. Massaging the Outer Edge Use the entire thumb and most of the index finger to grasp the outer edge of the ear, rubbing it back and forth. Perform this 100 times daily. 3.Massaging the Ear Back Lowers Blood Pressure and Improves Blood Flow
A groove called the Hypotensive Groove runs along the back of the ear, corresponding to the human spine. Massaging this area functions similarly to spinal捏脊 (spinal捏脊), promoting smooth circulation of qi and blood throughout the body.
Massaging the Ear Back
Insert the index and middle fingers into the ear cavity, supporting the Hypotensive Groove from behind. Use the pad of the thumb to rub downward along the groove, performing this 100 times daily.
4. Rubbing the earlobes to invigorate the brain and prevent dementia
The earlobe area corresponds to the head and face region of the ear. The ear acupuncture points in this zone are closely linked to the brain and cheeks. Regularly massaging the earlobes promotes beauty, rejuvenates the complexion, and sharpens mental clarity.
Massaging the Earlobe
Insert your index and middle fingers into the ear canal while placing your thumb behind the earlobe. Use all three fingers to grasp and knead the entire head-face zone. Keep the index and middle fingers stationary while the thumb performs a rubbing motion: 50 times clockwise and 50 times counterclockwise. Then gently pull the earlobe downward.
5. Rub the entire ear for doubled effects and a hundredfold boost in vitality
After massaging each area of the ear, rub the entire ear once more. This helps the qi energy from the previous massage flow more smoothly and reach throughout the body.
Full Ear Rubbing
Use your palms to rub the ears: 50 times front-to-back, then 50 times up-and-down.
Upon completing this routine, if your ears feel warm, your body radiates warmth, and your palms are slightly sweaty, it indicates success. Your qi, blood, meridians, and organs have all been exercised and cleansed.
Special Note 1: Target Areas of Discomfort for Extra Attention
If limbs feel weak and thin, focus on the outer edges of the ears;
If experiencing kidney deficiency or yin deficiency, concentrate on pinching the triangular areas;
If suffering from chest tightness, irritability, or cardiovascular/cerebrovascular issues, prioritize rubbing the back of the ears.
2. Painful pressure points may signal health issues
If certain areas feel particularly tender when pressed, this could indicate underlying conditions. Ignore specific acupoint names or anatomical correspondences—if it hurts, keep pressing.
Remember these sensitive spots. After completing the full routine, gently massage them again. This practice offers countless benefits with no drawbacks.
