In truth, many organs in the human body possess inherent detoxification functions. For instance, the liver serves as a vital detoxification organ, transforming toxic substances in the blood into non-toxic or low-toxicity compounds. The kidneys expel urea, uric acid, and creatinine produced within the body through urine, among other functions.
From a traditional Chinese medicine perspective, no external detoxification method can surpass the body's own "detoxification" system. This system encompasses the five major organs: liver, spleen, lungs, heart, and kidneys. These organs continuously filter, break down, and eliminate toxins and waste. However, if these organs are not well-protected, their detoxification capacity diminishes.
TCM holds that while toxins may lie deep within, they still leave subtle clues on the body's surface. Different manifestations indicate where toxins are hiding. Now, we must uncover the toxins' hiding places and expel them from the body as quickly as possible.
Spleen Toxins Manifest as:
1. Facial pigmentation spots. Women with such spots often have weaker digestive function.
2. Excessive vaginal discharge.
3. Fat accumulation. In TCM, fat is also termed "phlegm-dampness."
4. Noticeable bad breath, acne or ulcers around the lips.

Detoxifying Kidney Acupoints
Yongquan (K1) is the lowest acupoint in the body. If the body were a building, this point would be the outlet for sewage pipes. Regularly massaging it yields significant detoxification effects.Location: The Yongquan point is situated at the front one-third of the sole (excluding the toes). This point is sensitive; avoid excessive pressure—light pressure is sufficient. Gently press and knead simultaneously for about 5 minutes.
