Bobbi Brown's senior Japanese makeup artist, Eiji Fukazawa, shares that many celebrity clients face this same frustration.His advice: "If pimples suddenly appear—whether new or old—apply an anti-inflammatory, purifying acne treatment to the affected area before foundation to inhibit growth. Alternatively, choose an anti-inflammatory concealer, but avoid heavy coverage.A thin layer is sufficient, otherwise it may worsen the inflammation."
Pro tip: Skin around pimples tends to be drier. Applying concealer directly may cause flaking. Before concealing, apply an oil-free moisturizer to the affected area or mix a small amount of lotion into your concealer for a more hydrating finish.
