Incorporating this summer's pink hues seamlessly into your makeup routine is no easy feat. Crucially, different occasions demand distinct pink makeup looks to avoid missteps. So what are the key points for each scenario? Keep reading as we reveal how to create the most on-trend, occasion-appropriate pink makeup looks.
Eye Makeup Tip:
1. Opt for earthy tones that blend well with Asian skin tones. Apply darker shades at the outer corners and lighter shades at the inner corners to avoid puffy-looking eyelids.
2. Since the eyes are already pink, opt for a peachy blush with orange undertones. Apply it with a natural diagonal brush stroke to add a healthy glow. Leave the cheekbones empty and use highlighter instead to brighten the under-eye area and apples of the cheeks. However, this technique isn't suitable for those with fuller cheeks.
Step 1.Light Brown Eyeshadow Base
Apply a light brown eyeshadow slightly darker than your skin tone to the outer half of the upper eyelid and the outer corner of the lower eyelid.
Step 2. Dark Brown Outer Corner
Using a dark brown eyeshadow pencil or fine brush, trace a "ㄑ" shape along the natural curve of the eye at the outer corner. Blend the edges with a cotton swab.
Step 3. Blend Eyeshadow
Using a clean eyeshadow brush, blend the eyeshadow from Step 2 inward. Blend the outer lower eyelid as well.
Step 4. Light Pink Eyeshadow
Apply a light pink eyeshadow to the inner corner of the eye, gradually darkening toward the outer corner. This prevents the pink from making the eyelids look puffy.
Step 3. Blend the eyeshadow
Use a clean eyeshadow brush to blend the shadow applied in Step 2 inward. Blend the outer lower lash line as well.
Step 5. Apply pink highlight to the center of the eyelid
Gently apply the accent deep pink shade to the center of the eyelid, specifically the area where the eyeball protrudes.
Step 7. Create Natural Cheekbones
Choose a peach blush and sweep it diagonally across the cheeks. Leave the fullest part of the smile muscles bare, instead applying pearlescent highlighter to create plump, apple-like cheekbones.
Step 8. Paint Watery Peach Lips
