After the Spring Festival, daylight hours gradually lengthen. Though temperatures may occasionally dip, the bright sunshine grows increasingly mild. Late winter and early spring mark a transitional period between cold and warmth, so parents should pay attention to their children's clothing. As winter gives way to spring, everything renews itself. All living things begin to revive, entering a season of vigorous growth—and babies are no exception.
Studies show babies grow 2-2.5 times faster in spring than in autumn. With this growth spurt approaching, are moms ready? Human height is primarily determined by bone tissue. Protein, calcium, and amino acids promote bone development, so increasing these nutrients will help your baby grow taller. Here are some recommended foods to keep your little one thriving.
Dairy Products
Milk is rich in calcium—the building block of bones—and is more easily absorbed by babies than calcium from vegetables or other foods. Children aged 1-3 should consume 400-600ml of milk daily. Yogurt and cheese are also excellent calcium sources.
Eggs
Eggs are one of the most easily absorbed high-protein foods. One egg per day is appropriate, but note that egg yolks should not be the first choice for complementary foods. Introduce whole eggs only after your baby has adapted to foods like rice cereal, and wait until after age 1. If your baby dislikes eggs, substitute with tofu or cheese.
Legumes
Soybeans are currently the crop with the highest protein content and best quality. Among the eight essential amino acids humans must obtain from food, soybeans are rich in all except methionine, particularly high in lysine. Proteins with sufficient levels and a comprehensive amino acid profile like this are called high-quality proteins. Legumes, especially soybeans, are rich in calcium and serve as an important source of calcium for the human body.
Oatmeal
Oats are packed with protein yet low in calories, making them a great breakfast addition for both adults and children. Many commercial children's oatmeal products contain excessive additives. Opt for unsweetened organic rolled oats instead. Grind them in a food processor and mix into your baby's milk. If not instant, cook them separately first. You can also make oatmeal cookies or crackers—it's up to moms' creativity!
Spinach and Amaranth
Spinach's benefits are well-known, and babies tend to accept it easily after starting solids. Amaranth contains even more iron than spinach and three times the calcium, making it a top choice among fresh vegetables.More importantly, amaranth contains no oxalic acid, allowing calcium and iron to be easily absorbed and utilized by the body. Thus, amaranth promotes baby's growth and development while strengthening their constitution. Red Meat & Chicken Red meat refers to pork, beef, and lamb, while chicken is considered white meat. Both should be included in your baby's daily diet.
Vitamin C-Rich Fruits
Oranges, strawberries, grapes, and kiwis are rich in vitamin C, which aids calcium absorption. These fruits can be given to babies in appropriate amounts during spring.

5g dried shrimp flakes (for ages 1+), 50g baby bok choy, 1 egg.
Rinse shrimp flakes in warm water until softened, then mince finely. Blanch baby bok choy briefly, then mince finely. Mix shrimp flakes, minced bok choy, and beaten egg thoroughly, adding a small amount of water.Steam in a pot or microwave for 3-5 minutes.
Stir-Fried Amaranth with Shrimp
Wash amaranth and use only tender tips; wash and mince shrimp (for children over 1 year old). Heat oil in a wok over high heat, stir-fry amaranth dry, then add shrimp and cook until done.
Of course, sleep is another crucial factor for growth. According to research by Professor Norman Weissman of the University of Wisconsin, 90% of children's bone growth occurs during sleep.
