Red Net Moment, March 20 (Correspondent Li Mo) On the morning of March 20, coinciding with the Spring Equinox, the 10th "Love in Spring" Nanhu Women's Health Festival was held at Changsha Nanhu Hemu Hospital. One hundred impoverished women, selected by the Tianxin District Women's Federation, Health Bureau, Labor Union, and surrounding Nanhu Road communities, received assistance.Leaders from municipal, district, and neighborhood communities attended the event, offering high praise and affirmation for the initiative.
At the venue, all 100 women received financial aid and gifts. The hospital also provided health assistance and job opportunities to those in need, addressing tangible difficulties faced by beneficiaries and their families. This marks the 10th consecutive Women's Health Festival hosted by Changsha Nanhu Hemu Hospital. Hospital Director Xia Wenhui stated:The hospital has consistently prioritized vulnerable groups in society, with impoverished women being a key focus. Particularly amid the recent pandemic impact, some women have experienced income declines, facing both financial and psychological pressures. Being able to offer tangible support through this event brings us peace of mind. This meaningful initiative will continue as a sustained hospital commitment."
Ms. Wang, a resident of Tianjian Community, was one of the beneficiaries. Her husband has suffered from hypertension and bronchial disease for years, rendering him unable to work and requiring frequent hospital visits. Two years ago, he was diagnosed with cancer, necessitating daily Chinese herbal medicine to manage his condition, further straining the family's finances."After learning of our hardships, the community and Nanhu Harmony Hospital have consistently offered various forms of support. During holidays, they not only provide relief funds but also deliver rice and flour. This event has given me tremendous help. I thank the Party and the government, and I thank the kind-hearted people at Nanhu Harmony Hospital. You are not family, but you are better than family," Ms. Wang said emotionally.
During Women's Health Festival, Nanhu Harmony Hospital—along with its sister institutions under the Nanhu Hospital Group: Zhuzhou Nanhu Harmony Gynecology Hospital, Yiyang Nanhu Harmony Maternal and Child Hospital, and Yueyang Nanhu Osteophyte Hospital—will provide financial assistance and healthcare support to over 1,000 women facing economic hardship.
