Hengli originates from Sinopharm China National Biotec Group. It received its New Drug Certificate and trial production approval from the Ministry of Health in 1993, gained market approval in 1997, and has been administered to over 27 million patients to date.In China, Hengli accounts for 8 out of every 10 units of Type A botulinum toxin injected. In 2020, Hengli became the first domestically approved Type A botulinum toxin product for treating upper limb spasticity in adults following stroke.
