A hump nose refers to a protrusion on the upper part of the nasal bridge, resembling a camel's hump and appearing nodular. Beyond affecting facial aesthetics, a hump nose significantly diminishes a woman's approachability when viewed from the side. For less pronounced cases, hyaluronic acid injections can elevate the sides of the hump, achieving a straight, attractive nose without the need for surgery.
Hyaluronic acid, scientifically known as hyaluronic acid (HA), is a linear polymer composed of disaccharide units (N-acetylglucosamine and glucuronic acid). It is a naturally occurring substance in tissues. It is widely distributed in nature within the connective tissue, mucous membranes, and lenses of vertebrates, as well as in the capsules of certain bacteria. In human skin, it plays a crucial role as a matrix component in the dermis, serving vital functions in both overall tissue structure maintenance and intercellular transport.
The injection procedure involves five main steps: cleansing the treatment area (1-2 minutes); applying topical anesthetic gel (wait approximately 15 minutes); disinfecting the treatment site (1-2 minutes); injection (15-30 minutes); and post-injection correction of nasal imperfections by the doctor based on the patient's needs.
