Who should not receive Aibei Fu injections?
Experts indicate that contraindicated individuals primarily include:
1. Those currently undergoing glucocorticoid therapy
Research indicates glucocorticoids possess anti-inflammatory properties but lack antibacterial effects. They reduce the body's resistance to infection, lowering disease resistance and facilitating bacterial growth, reproduction, and spread.Furthermore, since Aibei Fu contains an 80% collagen solution, glucocorticoids promote protein breakdown. This leads to amino acids undergoing gluconeogenesis, mobilizing fat reserves, and increasing ketone bodies. Therefore, individuals undergoing glucocorticoid therapy should not receive Aibei Fu injections.
2.Individuals with keloid-prone skin
Keloid formation occurs in certain individuals with a predisposition to excessive scar tissue. Following Aibei Fu injections, these individuals are prone to developing red scars and raised bumps at the injection sites. Therefore, potential recipients must be assessed for keloid-prone skin prior to treatment. If identified, Aibei Fu injections are contraindicated. However, this predisposition is extremely rare, affecting only about 0.04% of individuals.
3. Individuals with immune system disorders
Immune system disorders include HIV/AIDS, allergic conditions, rheumatoid arthritis, and allergic dermatitis. Patients with these conditions cannot undergo Aibei Fu injections due to heightened skin sensitivity, compromised immunity, and reduced resistance.
4. Individuals allergic to collagen
Abeve contains an 80% collagen solution as its primary component. If a patient is allergic to collagen, not only will wrinkle reduction be ineffective, but other adverse reactions may occur. Therefore, collagen allergy precludes Abeve injections.
5. Individuals with positive skin test reactions
Many may be unfamiliar with positive skin test reactions. Essentially, a positive skin reaction manifests as localized skin swelling with a reddish, hardened lump, accompanied by itching around the reddened area. Severe cases may lead to anaphylactic shock. Individuals with positive skin reactions cannot receive the medication. Therefore, those with such reactions are not eligible for Aibei Fu injections.
