Ingredients: One piece of ginger, 750g rice vinegar, 50g Cynomorium songaricum, 50g Clematis chinensis.
Method: Place all ingredients (except ginger) into a pot. Add sufficient water, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat. Once boiling again, remove from heat and let steep for 24 hours.Application: Slice the ginger in half. Dip the cut end into the decoction and apply it to the cervical spine area, moving from top to bottom. Keep the neck moist during application. Continue until the skin reddens. Also apply to painful areas. Use once daily.
Benefits: Dispels wind and dampness, unblocks meridians, and relieves pain. Suitable for cervical spondylosis with radiculopathy.
Cactus Method
Ingredients: Cactus.
Method: Harvest fresh cactus, remove spines, and mash directly. Apply to the cervical spine area, cover with plastic wrap, and secure with adhesive tape. Use once daily. Contraindicated for those allergic to cactus.
Effects: Relaxes tendons and activates meridians, promotes qi and blood circulation, disperses stasis and reduces swelling, relieves pain. Suitable for cervical spondylosis.
Medicinal Wine Method
Ingredients: 20g raw Aconitum carmichaeli, 30g each of raw Aconitum kusnezoffii, Pinellia ternata, and Pinellia tuber, 500g white liquor.
Method: Grind the four herbs into powder, steep in liquor, seal tightly for 7 days. Apply directly to painful areas multiple times daily as needed.
Effects: Relaxes tendons and activates meridians, relieves pain. Suitable for cervical spondylosis.
Vinegar Lees Method
Ingredients: Vinegar lees.
Method: Place vinegar lees in a pan, stir-fry over low heat, then pack into a cloth bag. Apply as a warm compress to the cervical spine area, ensuring temperature is not excessively high to prevent burns. Use 3 times daily; effects are typically noticeable after about two weeks.
Efficacy: Dispels blood stasis, relieves pain, and promotes circulation. Suitable for cervical spondylosis.
Rice Vinegar Method
Ingredients: Rice vinegar.
Method: Fold a clean, thick gauze into a square. Soak it thoroughly in rice vinegar and apply directly to the painful area. Then expose it to infrared light for 30 minutes. Apply once daily. One treatment course lasts 15 days. Rest for 3-5 days between courses. Symptoms typically subside after 2-3 courses.
