Ingredients: 20g Kudzu root, 15g each of Notopterygium root, Angelica root, Earthworm, Centipede, Sichuan pepper, Myrrh, Rhubarb, and Dragon's Blood resin, 30g each of Curcuma rhizome and Clematis root, 10g each of Catechu and Frankincense.
Usage: Place all herbs in a cloth bag, soak in clean water for 10 minutes, then decoct for approximately 15 minutes. Remove the bag and pour the decoction into a foot basin. Position the bag over the painful area of the neck, apply a hot water bottle for warmth, and maintain the hot compress for 1-2 hours. Simultaneously soak both feet in the decoction for half an hour. The decoction may be reused for approximately 3 days.
Formula Two
Ingredients: 15g Sappan wood, 12g Angelica dahurica, 12g Angelica sinensis, 10g each of Angelica sinensis, Cinnamomum cassia, Carthamus tinctorius, and Millettia reticulata, 9g Eupatorium fortunei.
Usage: Grind all herbs into a fine powder, mix thoroughly, and place into a cloth bag. Seal the opening, add water, and decoct for 20 minutes. Remove the bag and apply the solution at approximately 50°C to the affected neck area. Soak both feet in the solution for 30 minutes.

Massage Method
As the soles of the feet contain reflex zones corresponding to body areas, apply moderate pressure to the reflex zones for the abdominal plexus, kidneys, ureters, and bladder 100 times each. Then use firm pressure to press the reflex zones for the neck, thoracic spine, shoulders, and trapezius muscles 100 times each. Finally, use firm pressure to knead the Weizhong (BL40), Chengshan (BL57), and Yongquan (KI1) acupoints 50 times each.Note: Foot reflexology is best performed by a professional practitioner. Improper pressure application may fail to achieve therapeutic effects.
Warm Moxibustion Formula
Ingredients: 6g green onion, 12g ginger juice, 60g Acorus tatarinowii rhizome, 60g mugwort leaves, 60g Perilla frutescens root, egg white, and white wine (as needed).
Method: Pound all herbs into a juice, mix with egg white and white wine to form a paste. Apply externally to the affected area and perform warm moxibustion.
This folk remedy provides soothing relief for discomfort caused by cervical spondylosis. Besides cervical spondylosis, it can also be used for lumbar spondylosis and calcaneal osteophytes.
External Application Formula
Ingredients: 100g Angelica dahurica, 60g Saposhnikovia root, 60g Notopterygium root, 60g Sapindus fruit, 60g Ligusticum root, 90g Safflower, 90g Frankincense, 90g Myrrh, 90g Clematis root, 90g Perilla leaf, 90g Rock salt, 90g Cyperus rhizome, 90g Salvia root,60g Schisandra chinensis fruit.
Method: Grind the herbs into a fine powder and divide into two portions. Seal each portion separately and steam until warm. Sprinkle 30g aged vinegar over each, then apply the warm poultice to the affected area. Use the two poultices alternately. This provides soothing relief for various conditions caused by cervical spondylosis.
