Folk Remedies for Rosacea
Remedy One
Ingredients: 30g Viola yedoensis, 15g each of Lonicera japonica, Taraxacum officinale, and Chrysanthemum indicum, 12g Forsythia suspensa, 10g each of Gardenia jasminoides and Scrophularia ningpoensis, 3g Rheum palmatum, 5g Glycyrrhiza uralensis.
Folk Remedy 2
Ingredients: 25g realgar, 10g mercury oxide, 10g borax, and milk as needed.
Preparation and Use: Grind 25g realgar, 10g borax, and 10g mercury oxide together. Mix with milk to form a paste, then apply to affected areas.
Folk Remedy Three
Ingredients: 50g Phellodendron bark, 50ml distilled water, sufficient 95% alcohol.Seal for one week, then filter through double gauze. Combine the filtered liquid with 50ml distilled water and store in a bottle for future use. Folk Remedy Four Ingredients: 12g each of Poria cocos, honeysuckle, and Polygonum cuspidatum; 10g Angelica sinensis; 9g each of Rehmannia glutinosa and Paeonia lactiflora; 6g each of Ligusticum chuanxiong, Scutellaria baicalensis, Gardenia jasminoides, Citrus reticulata peel, Carthamus tinctorius, and Pentaglottis sempervirens.Gardenia, Tangerine Peel, Safflower, and Five-Spirit Fat, each 6g.
Preparation and Usage: Dry and grind into powder. Take 6g three times daily with tea water.
Folk Method Five
Ingredients: Codonopsis, Chinese Yam, each 15g;10g each of Ligustrum fruit, Cuscuta seed, Lonicera flower, Chicken gizzard, Angelica root, Poria, Atractylodes, and Tangerine peel, 6g each of Phellodendron bark, Scutellaria root, and Lycium bark.
Preparation and Usage: Decoct in water and take orally.
Folk Remedy Six
Ingredients: Loquat leaves (dehaired) as needed.
Preparation and Usage: Decoct in water for oral administration.
Folk Remedy Seven
Ingredients: 10g each of loquat leaves, mulberry bark, scutellaria root, gardenia fruit; 15g raw rehmannia root; 12g chrysanthemum flower; 6g platycodon root; 5g each of coptis root and licorice root.
Preparation and Usage: Decoct in water for oral administration.
Folk Method 8
Ingredients: Equal parts sulfur and betel nut, a small amount of borneol.
Preparation and Usage: Grind sulfur and betel nut into a fine powder, add a small amount of borneol, then wrap in gauze and apply to the affected area.
Folk Remedy Nine
Ingredients: 12g each of Angelica root tip and Red peony root, 15g Raw rehmannia root, 6g each of Ligusticum root and Dried tangerine peel, 10g each of Peach kernel, Safflower, and Scutellaria root, 3g Rhubarb root.
Preparation and Use: Decoct in water and take orally.
Folk Remedy 10
Ingredients: 15g each of Platycladus orientalis leaf, moutan bark, red peony root, scutellaria root, mulberry bark; 20g each of white茅根, scrophularia root, raw rehmannia root; 5g licorice root.
Preparation and Use: Decoct in water for oral administration.
Dietary Therapy for Rosacea
1.Kushen and Danggui Decoction
Grind 120g kudzu root and 60g angelica root into fine powder. Mix with white honey to form small pills. Take 10g twice daily for at least two weeks. Kudzu root kills parasites and relieves itching, while angelica nourishes and activates blood circulation, reducing visible blood vessels in rosacea-affected areas.
2. Loquat Leaf and Gardenia Decoction
Combine 10g each of loquat leaves and gardenia seeds in an earthenware pot. Add 1000ml water, bring to a boil, strain, and consume as a beverage once daily for at least two weeks. This formula clears lung heat, cools the blood, and moisturizes the skin, making it suitable for early-stage rosacea.
3. Hawthorn Porridge
Combine dried hawthorn berries and japonica rice, cook into porridge, and consume once daily for 7 consecutive days. This dietary therapy is particularly suitable for the nasal polyp stage of the condition.
4. Purslane, Job's Tears, and Honeysuckle Porridge
Combine equal parts purslane and Job's tears with honeysuckle. Simmer honeysuckle in 3 bowls of water until reduced to 2 bowls, then strain. Mix with purslane and Job's tears to cook into porridge. Consume once daily for sustained therapeutic benefits. This dietary therapy is suitable for the papular stage of rosacea.
