In addition to the above folk remedies for low blood pressure, individuals with chronic hypotension should also note the following lifestyle considerations:
1. Seek prompt medical evaluation to determine the underlying cause of low blood pressure.
2. Increase intake of meat dishes to supplement nutrition, and consume more foods that warm and tonify the spleen and kidneys.
3. Limit foods with blood pressure-lowering effects, such as celery, winter melon, watermelon, bitter melon, hawthorn, mung beans, garlic, kelp, onions, and sunflower seeds.
4. Engage in regular physical exercise to strengthen the body, improve nervous and vascular regulation, accelerate blood circulation, and reduce episodes of low blood pressure.
5. Drink a glass of lightly salted water on an empty stomach daily and moderately increase salt in meals to raise blood pressure while alleviating symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, and weakness. However, avoid excessive salt intake to prevent other cardiovascular diseases.
6. Consume more ginger, which aids digestion, strengthens the stomach, and raises blood pressure. Additionally, sprinkle minced ginger into vegetable soups or steep ginger in water as a tea substitute.
