2. Broad Bean Flower and Rock Sugar Decoction for Hemoptysis
9g broad bean flowers, rock sugar to taste. Simmer together in water. Take 2-3 times daily. Has astringent properties to treat hemoptysis.

Take 3 grams of sour pomegranate (sweet varieties are ineffective). Remove the seeds, crush them, and extract the juice. Consume before bed each night. Crush over ten garlic cloves into a paste. Place in a cup, add appropriate rock sugar, and steep with boiling water. Drink warm as tea once daily. Those with severe cough may take twice daily. This remedy rapidly dissolves phlegm but is contraindicated for individuals with stomach ailments.
5. Tofu with Sugar for Cough Relief, Phlegm Reduction, and Asthma Relief
500g tofu, 100g brown sugar, 100g white sugar. Hollow out the center of the tofu, fill with brown and white sugar, place in a bowl, and steam over water for 30 minutes. Consume the entire portion at once. Repeat 4 times. This remedy clears heat, generates fluids, moistens dryness, and treats coughs with phlegm and asthma.
6. Corn Silk and Tangerine Peel for Cough
Combine appropriate amounts of corn silk and tangerine peel. Simmer in water and take twice daily. Relieves cough and dissolves phlegm. Treats wind-cold cough with excessive phlegm.Place sesame seeds and rock sugar in a bowl, pour boiling water over them, and drink. This formula moistens the lungs and generates fluids. It treats persistent nighttime coughing without phlegm.
Note: A handful of sesame seeds and 50g ginger, pounded together and boiled for juice, also provide the above therapeutic effects.
