Hiding an ugly forehead is no match for sculpting a beautiful one

Hey everyone, have you noticed our goddesses are increasingly showing off their foreheads? From side-swept bangs and straight-across bangs before, suddenly—oops—they've all switched to center-parted and slicked-back styles! This is quite disheartening for us, because with bangs, everyone looks similar. But once the bangs are swept back, our foreheads might not be as flattering... While goddesses have flawless faces, what about us?
Every forehead has its own shape—plump or sunken, wide or narrow, attractive or not... But aside from acne scars causing pockmarks, our forehead shape is generally unchangeable. Even if it does change, it rarely improves.
The forehead's contour is shaped not only by underlying bone structure but also by a complex interplay of muscles, fat, and skin. When viewed head-on, the width of the forehead is primarily defined by the temporal hairline—the contour line of the temples. The distance between these temporal contours should be slightly narrower than the distance between the cheekbones. An appropriately proportioned forehead conveys a youthful, full appearance. From an oblique angle, the forehead's lateral contour is defined by the line extending downward from the eyebrows along the orbital rim and connecting to the cheekbone contour. From the side, the forehead's profile is shaped by the nasofrontal angle formed by the forehead, eyebrows, and nasal bridge, along with the forehead's curvature.Deep within the temporal region lie the temporalis muscle and temporal fat pad. Temporal fat volume fluctuates with nutrition and age. Generally, after adolescence, temporal fat tends to diminish, and individuals with less subcutaneous fat may exhibit temporal hollows.
Based on the above analysis, we observe that while our bone structure is immutable, the fat between the frontal bone and skin is relatively modifiable. Therefore, localized cosmetic procedures can enhance forehead shape. Additionally, for individuals with severe forehead collapse due to accidents or other causes, supplementary materials can be injected into the forehead to similarly alter its contour.
Based on these two approaches, we categorize them as "autologous fat grafting" and "implant augmentation."
1. Autologous Fat Grafting:
Fat grafting is a minimally invasive procedure suitable for mild to moderate forehead depressions.Considering potential fat absorption, injections are administered in minimal fat units across multiple layers to strictly control absorption rates. This method produces minimal lumps, no rebound effect, and is considered a side-effect-free procedure. Fat is introduced via injection without incisions, eliminating scarring concerns. Patients can wash their face and apply makeup immediately after surgery.
2. Forehead Augmentation with Implants:
This surgical approach is chosen for severe forehead depression when achieving fullness and dimensionality is desired. A 2-3 cm incision is made behind the hairline at the forehead. The forehead tissue is then dissected, and an implant is inserted. Unlike other implants, forehead implants are custom-made to match the patient's forehead shape.Production takes approximately two days, requiring an advance hospital visit for molding and scheduling the procedure.
Regardless of the method chosen, post-operative forehead enhancement is highly noticeable. Autologous fat grafting stands out for its low complexity, minimal invasiveness, and virtually no side effects. Beauty-conscious women can confidently explore this option. Once successful, you'll no longer need to fear revealing a flat forehead.
