Brands like Joyoung and Philips produce juicers for various purposes. Here, I'll discuss the current juicer landscape in China by comparing prices of sugarcane juicers and manual juicers.Here, the author poses a small question: Can a juicer make soy milk?
Opinions on whether juicers can make soy milk vary widely. Some friends say yes, while others say no. The only way to know for sure is to try making soy milk with your juicer and see how it tastes.
How to make soy milk with a juicer?
Step 1: Rinse the soybeans thoroughly. Plug in the juicer, place a large cup under the spout, and fill the storage tube with soybeans—leaving some space at the top. Secure the tube with the stopper to prevent beans and pulp from flying out.
Step 2: Turn on the power switch and set the speed to level 3 for faster, finer grinding. Gradually add water while grinding. Once the first batch is processed, add the second batch, and so on until all soybeans are ground.
Important: Finally, add about 200ml of water to ensure all soy milk flows out of the juicer.The soy milk is not yet ready to drink. It must be transferred to a pot and brought to a boil. Once boiling, immediately turn off the heat. Add sugar or salt to taste, and your delicious, aromatic soy milk is complete.
Additionally, please note the following three points when using a juicer to make soy milk:
1. Soybeans must be thoroughly soaked in water beforehand; otherwise, they cannot be used.
2. Use raw soybeans, not cooked ones, for grinding;
3. Always boil the extracted soy milk thoroughly; otherwise, it won't taste good and may cause stomach upset.
Why are sugarcane juicers so popular nowadays?This is inextricably linked to the benefits of sugarcane juice. We all know sugarcane juice is rich in sucrose, fructose, and glucose, and also contains minerals like calcium, phosphorus, and iron, as well as amino acids such as aspartic acid, glutamic acid, alanine, and citric acid. Drinking sugarcane juice quenches thirst, replenishes fluids, and provides energy.Raw sugarcane juice has a sweet and cooling nature, effective for treating heat-related illnesses that deplete body fluids, restlessness with thirst, fever with dark urine, and dry cough due to lung dryness.
Sugarcane juicers operate on the principle of compression. Most standard models require peeling the sugarcane before juicing, as the peel contains certain contaminants.Processing with the peel on is not very hygienic. However, this doesn't mean sugarcane juicers can't handle peeled sugarcane—it just yields less effective results. Machines for extracting juice from sugarcane generally include vertical sugarcane juicers, hand-crank sugarcane juicers, and tabletop sugarcane juicers.
The steps for using a sugarcane juicer are as follows:
First, trim the root end, cut off the top, and peel the sugarcane before juicing. For sugarcane with a diameter exceeding 30mm, split it in half before juicing to prevent overloading and stopping the machine.If heavy loading occurs during juicing, immediately disconnect the power supply for electric models. Manually pull the belt to reverse the rollers and eject the cane. For manual models, simply crank the handle in reverse to remove the cane. After juicing, promptly rinse the rollers and remove any residue from the juice collector to maintain cleanliness. Lubricate the drive gears with an appropriate amount of grease once a week.
