To boost a child's immunity, parents must lead by example. Here are a few simple methods:
1. Children spend most time with family and indoors.
Whether at home or elsewhere, ensure rooms are well-ventilated to maintain fresh, uncontaminated air. Items like trash or shoes can harbor bacteria and odors.Regularly clean these items. Shoes should be placed outside periodically—this allows sweat odors to dissipate and helps eliminate bacteria, making them more comfortable to wear the next day.
2. Change children's clothes frequently.
Prepare ample seasonal clothing for children. Since young children are often active, change their clothes every one or two days. In summer, change daily. Encourage them to develop habits of frequent handwashing, face washing, and bathing.Provide extra sets of undergarments. Nightwear should be changed every one to two days in summer, and every two to three days in winter. Third, ensure diverse nutritional intake in meals. Generally, children can digest most foods in moderation. For instance, calcium-rich soups are beneficial. However, avoid serving meat at every meal; vary the menu every two to three days. Whole grains and legumes are suitable. When adults and children eat together, serve meals simultaneously—serving them separately may encourage irregular eating habits. Four, encourage physical activity This generally requires little prompting, as keeping children sedentary is unlikely. Engage them in morning or evening exercises or physical tasks.
5. Avoid prolonged stays in crowded places
This is often the biggest challenge for children, as crowded areas are their playgrounds. Some children could play from morning till night without wanting to go home. Playtime is fine, but when they tire, ensure they rest adequately. This serves two purposes: avoiding poorly ventilated, high-traffic areas and preventing excessive playfulness.
