Relevant officials stated at the meeting that many parents today view themselves as bystanders or even avoiders of early childhood education, with some perceiving educational institutions as adversaries—a misconception. The cornerstone of early childhood education lies in home-school collaboration.
He explained that the Early Childhood Education Committee of the China Wisdom Engineering Research Association is a national first-tier academic society approved by the State Council, registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and overseen by the Ministry of Education. Its core mission is to initiate and implement the China Wisdom Kindergarten Project. This initiative aims to empower parents to become the primary educators in early childhood, vital contributors to kindergarten education, and core members of kindergarten staff. Ultimately, it seeks to establish the home as the primary battleground, main stronghold, and primary channel for early childhood education.
How will this goal be achieved? The director stated that it will be supported by research into personalized wisdom education technologies and methods for young children. Nationwide early childhood education (and early education) institutions will be established as research and experimental bases. Utilizing a combination of online and offline approaches, they will test seven core psychological efficacy intervention techniques in early childhood education. These include weekly parent classes to help parents understand expressions of love, emotional control, and other skills to reshape parent-child relationships. Ultimately, working together with kindergartens, they will practice a personalized wisdom kindergarten growth model.
He disclosed that nationwide, 100 experimental kindergartens will be established this year, 1,000 in 2016, and 10,000 in 2017. These will serve as research bases for the China Smart Kindergarten Project, functioning as experimental and demonstration kindergartens.
