While exercise often evokes positive feelings, reality doesn't always match our ideals. If you feel exhausted during workouts, you may struggle to stick with it, ultimately failing to achieve fitness or weight loss goals. How to Improve Stamina During Exercise Method One:Regardless of your circumstances, always tailor your exercise to your personal condition. If you've been inactive for a long time, avoid high-intensity activities at the start. Begin with jogging, walking, or brisk walking, and pay attention to appropriate exercise duration.
Method 2: Warm up before exercising. An effective warm-up reduces muscle soreness during activity because it increases blood flow to your limbs. This helps prevent injuries and excessive lactic acid buildup in your muscles.
Method Three: Avoid exercising on an empty stomach. Consume a light snack before working out to replenish carbohydrates—such as whole-grain bread or high-fiber crackers—but keep portions modest. Carrying a banana can also provide quick energy when fatigue sets in.
Method Four: Pay attention to nutrition after exercise. Avoid eating immediately post-workout. Instead, drink a moderate amount of warm water twenty minutes after exercising, followed by low-calorie foods like lean meats, fish, tofu, or eggs. Timely protein replenishment greatly benefits muscle synthesis.
Method Five: Prioritize Sleep Quality
Poor sleep combined with intense exercise can easily lead to fatigue. Improving sleep quality is crucial—well-rested bodies have more energy for exercise and work the next day. If sleep is poor, try foot massages, warm foot baths, soothing music, or maintaining comfortable room temperatures before bed.
Many people experience fatigue during exercise, but adopting appropriate strategies can yield positive results. However, certain groups require tailored approaches to improve their physical condition.
First: Middle-aged/elderly individuals or those with chronic conditions. Given their limited stamina, they should choose low-impact activities like Tai Chi or walking based on personal fitness levels, while maintaining appropriate exercise duration.
Second: Individuals who have been inactive for extended periods often experience fatigue during exercise. Initially, aquatic activities like swimming are recommended. This reduces joint strain caused by excess weight. Once weight loss occurs, land-based exercises can be gradually introduced.
Third: New mothers in the postpartum recovery phase may also experience fatigue during exercise. When selecting postnatal recovery activities, avoid rushing. It's best to wait until after the confinement period to choose lighter-intensity options like yoga, stationary cycling, or walking, gradually increasing intensity later.
Many people experience fatigue during exercise. If this happens, stop exercising immediately and allow your body to rest. You may also consider consuming functional beverages in moderation.
