Who says you have to go barefaced during workouts? Ladies can totally rock a beautiful makeup look while exercising—it can even make you look more radiant during your workout!Below, we'll teach you how to create a workout makeup look that keeps you looking fabulous during exercise.
1. Base Makeup
Exercise causes significant moisture loss. After cleansing, first apply a lightweight moisturizing lotion or oil-free moisturizer with sunscreen. Then apply a thin layer of waterproof foundation—preferably sweat-resistant or summer-formula liquid foundation. Choose a shade slightly darker than your skin tone to enhance a healthy, vibrant glow.Skip loose powder—just lightly press a compact powder (preferably with SPF) over your face. If you dislike foundation on your neck, lightly dust baby powder on your neck and chest after finishing your makeup.
2. Eye Makeup
Heavy eye makeup around the eyes during exercise easily smudges from sweat.Eye makeup is crucial—it's the focal point of your look but also the main culprit behind smudged makeup. Opt for waterproof, sheer eyeshadows with a luminous or shimmer finish. Apply just a light layer to the center of your upper eyelid, blending it out from the outer corner toward the inner corner for a soft fade. For brows, simply brush them into place with a brow brush to maintain a natural look.
3. Blush
Opt for a healthy-looking brownish-red shade. Apply only a light layer on the cheekbones or extend slightly upward and outward. Alternatively, use your fingers to dab a small amount of shimmery cream blush onto the cheeks.
4. Lip Makeup
When the body loses significant moisture, lips can become dry and flaky. Apply a generous amount of lip balm as a base—it's okay to use more, as lips absorb it quickly. Follow with a layer of clear lip gloss to create naturally sensual, hydrated lips. We recommend a highly moisturizing, shimmering clear gloss.
5. Hairstyle
Keep hair clean to prevent sweat from transferring oils onto the face and compromising skin health. Opt for an updo that gathers hair away from the face, as loose strands can obstruct vision and disrupt your carefully styled look.
Texture Bun
(1) First gather hair into a low ponytail and secure tightly.
(2) Twist the ponytail into a long, thin spiral, then wrap it into three tight coils.
(3) Admire the finished look! Secure with bobby pins once tightly coiled.
Inward-Curling Ponytail
(1) Part hair down the middle. Take sections from both sides, curl them into thin strands behind the ears.
(2) Meet the strands at the center, then wrap a small section of hair around the base twice.
(3) Secure with a black clip, adjust as needed, and you're done.
Alternative Braided Style
(1) Divide sections and start a fishtail braid from the crown, continuing to the ends.
(2) Once reaching the ends, reverse the braid and roll it up, securing with a hairpin.
(3) Though challenging, the satisfaction after completing this style is immense!
