Old Man with World's Longest Hair: 6.8 Meters Grown Over 50 Years
According to the UK's Metro newspaper on the 25th, 79-year-old Vietnamese man Tran Van Hai passed away on the 24th. However, his hair has once again captured global attention. As early as 2006, Vietnamese media reported that Tran Van Hai's hair measured 6.2 meters.Though Guinness World Records never officially verified it, his hair reportedly reached 6.8 meters at his passing—potentially the world's longest. This extraordinary length resulted from over 50 years without a haircut, though the long locks also caused him considerable trouble.
His wife, Nguyen Thi Hoa, explained that since his twenties, Chen felt as if he were falling ill whenever he cut his hair. Nevertheless, the hair, weighing several kilograms, significantly disrupted his daily life. In Vietnam, the primary mode of transportation for most people is the motorbike taxi. However, Chen faced constant rejection from drivers because his hair prevented him from wearing a helmet.
