Many moms cringe at the mention of snacks, but choosing the right ones can have benefits beyond their imagination. Snacks not only satisfy children's psychological needs but also fulfill their physical growth requirements during developmental stages.
Nutrients for brain development: Fats rich in unsaturated fatty acids, glucose, protein, calcium, vitamins A, B, C, and E.
Representative snacks: Walnuts, pine nuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, chestnuts, peanuts, black sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, melon seeds, almonds. These nuts and seeds should be consumed two to three times weekly, alternating between one to two varieties per serving to keep things fresh for your child.
However, moms should strictly control portion sizes—about 20 grams per serving is sufficient. While nuts contain healthy fats rich in unsaturated fatty acids, fiber, B vitamins, zinc, magnesium, and other trace elements, they are also high in calories, so intake should be limited.
