Why Washing Hair in the Morning Isn't Ideal

Early in the morning, when you first wake up, your body's functions haven't fully returned to normal, and blood circulation is relatively slow. Washing your hair at this time suddenly accelerates scalp blood flow, which can cause discomfort and trigger headaches. Additionally, it's still spring, and temperatures remain quite low in the early morning and evening.Washing hair then makes it difficult to dry quickly. The scalp remains in a state of evaporative heat loss, continuously dissipating warmth. Immediately after washing, the pores on the scalp are open, further facilitating heat loss. This makes one susceptible to chills, leading to headaches. If washing hair in the morning is unavoidable, ensure it is thoroughly dried with a hair dryer to minimize the risk of headaches and colds.
2. Causing Hair Loss
From 3 a.m. to 10 a.m., the pores on the scalp remain open and relaxed. This is because hair is in its growth phase during this period, and washing disrupts this process. Additionally, shampooing inevitably involves using shampoo, which can easily clog the relaxed pores. This impedes natural hair growth and naturally leads to hair loss. From this perspective, mornings are also ill-suited for washing hair. Moreover, the rushed morning routine often leads to incomplete rinsing, allowing shampoo to linger on the scalp—exacerbating the problem. 3. Memory Impairment Upon waking, the mind is typically in a semi-awake state, with the brain still in a state of semi-hibernation.To awaken the brain, a gentle approach is best—such as a family member's soft touch or soothing music—otherwise it can stimulate the brain and heart. This is precisely why loud alarm clocks are discouraged. Washing hair, however, is a rather abrupt method that inevitably stimulates the brain.Occasional instances are generally harmless; however, repeated exposure over time can cause brain damage, leading to memory decline. Furthermore, after washing hair in the morning, people often use a hair dryer to dry it. Prolonged exposure to the dryer's heat not only damages hair quality, making it dry and brittle, but also subjects the brain to radiation, which is another factor contributing to memory loss.
