Dark circles result from eye fatigue, aging, sluggish venous blood flow, insufficient oxygen supply to red blood cells in the delicate eye area, and excessive buildup of carbon dioxide and metabolic waste in veins. This chronic oxygen deprivation causes blood to appear darker, stagnate, and trigger pigmentation around the eyes.
