When it comes to foundation, the most crucial factor is finding the right shade for your skin tone. Otherwise, it will look unnatural on your face. That's why it's essential to test it before purchasing—ideally under natural light—to truly select the foundation that matches your complexion! Additionally, pay attention to how well the foundation blends and whether its coverage meets your needs.
Before applying foundation, remember to shake the bottle to prevent oil-water separation or sedimentation. Squeeze a small amount onto your hand, then dab it onto your face in five spots using your fingers. Use the middle and ring fingers of both hands to blend the foundation evenly across your face. Alternatively, use a sponge. After blending, apply a second layer for enhanced longevity and coverage.Pay special attention to blending around the corners of the eyes, sides of the nose, and hairline. For noticeable uneven skin tones like dark circles, acne, or freckles, use concealer to cover them.
2. Loose Powder
Lightly dust loose powder onto a puff. First, gently blend it on your hand or rub the puff together to even it out. Then, using a pressing motion, gently press from the cheeks to the forehead, ensuring all areas with foundation are set with powder.
3. Eyeshadow
For powder eyeshadow (pan), use an eyeshadow brush to pick up a small amount and apply it to the crease. Then layer the color gradually to create a gradient effect. For liquid or cream eyeshadow, first dab the product onto the center of the crease with your finger, then blend it outwards in a radial motion.Since Asian eyes often appear puffy, it's advisable to minimize use of light-colored eyeshadows. If used, apply them primarily to the crease area. Then use a deep skin tone or light brown eyeshadow on the socket. If puffiness isn't an issue, this restriction doesn't apply.
4. Eyeliner
Currently, eyeliner products include pencil, liquid, and gel formulas. For beginners, pencil eyeliner is the most user-friendly option. How to apply it? First, lift your eyelid. Then, slowly trace a suitable line from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eye.Ensure the line stays as close to the lash line as possible for a more natural look!
5. Soft, Light-Colored Brows
Select a brow pencil matching your hair color. Start filling in from the thickest part at the arch to the tail. Then use a lighter brow powder to brush from the inner corner to the middle, blending evenly with a brow brush.
6. Eyeliner Primer is Essential
Apply eyeliner along the lash line, filling in any gaps. For the lower lash line, use a dotting technique to fill the outer half of the lash line. This creates a more defined, deep-set eye look.
7. Mascara Application
Many women struggle with applying mascara. How can you achieve naturally beautiful lashes? First, use an eyelash curler. To create a natural curve, curl your lashes in three sections! Only then should you apply mascara. Also, pay attention to your mascara application technique!
Look down, hold the wand horizontally, and apply mascara in a zigzag motion from root to tip and back. For fuller lashes, wait until slightly dry before applying a second coat. For lower lashes, hold the mascara vertically and sweep side-to-side to coat them. If clumps form, gently comb them out with a lash brush.8. Lip Liners Make a Comeback Use a natural-toned lip liner to define your lips. This corrects dull corners and uneven lip color while preventing lipstick or gloss from smudging.
