① Breast Implant Surgery: Utilizes extremely safe implant materials with no toxic side effects and excellent biocompatibility, allowing long-term retention in the body. Should other circumstances arise, the material can be completely removed. This method is generally suitable for small breasts, sagging, or atrophy. It delivers highly satisfactory shaping results, achieving a natural appearance, realistic feel, and a full, lifted contour post-surgery. It does not affect fertility or breastfeeding, with high patient satisfaction rates.
② Autologous Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation: This dual-purpose cosmetic procedure combines liposuction for fat reduction with breast augmentation. Fat particles extracted from areas of localized fat accumulation—such as the abdomen, waist, buttocks, or legs—are injected into the breasts to enhance their fullness. Its advantages include simplicity, safety, minimal incisions, quick recovery, no surgical scars, and no visible incision lines. However, some fat cells may be absorbed by the body, requiring multiple sessions to achieve the desired outcome.
③ Injection-Based Breast Augmentation: Strictly speaking, autologous fat transfer is also an injection-based technique, but its administration differs from the "injection-based augmentation" described here. This latter method refers to a procedure introduced to China from Ukraine in recent years, or its domestically produced equivalent, involving the injection of polyacrylamide hydrogel into the retro-mammary space using specialized needles. This method offers relatively simple operation, minimal trauma, mild pain, precise injection depth, and natural-feeling, well-shaped results for patients without specific contraindications (excluding those prone to capsular contracture, bleeding, unclear retro-mammary space, excessive flatness, or significant ptosis). However, precisely because of these factors, coupled with the lack of strict national oversight at the time, the method was used indiscriminately and without principle. This led to numerous complications during its early application, and it has since been explicitly banned by the state.
In the pursuit of beauty, people often seek methods that are simple, minimally invasive, and pain-free. Yet everything has two sides, and few things are flawless. Therefore, we must view each matter dialectically, objectively, and with a balanced perspective.Injectable breast augmentation is no exception. While its intent is commendable, it also has flaws. Nevertheless, the concept of injecting into the posterior breast space warrants further exploration and research. Through anatomical dissection and endoscopic techniques, we have identified a potential space between the superficial fascia of the pectoralis major muscle and the posterior fascia of the mammary gland.
In many individuals, this space is well-defined, contains few vessels, is easily dissected, causes minimal trauma, and results in little bleeding. However, a small proportion of patients exhibit adhesions, indistinct spaces, or the presence of perforating vessels. Had this technique been promoted cautiously and performed under endoscopic guidance, its outcomes might have been different. To date, there remains no conclusive evidence proving the carcinogenicity or toxicity of the materials used.
