Marriage is a once-in-a-lifetime event, so it's understandable that many people seek cosmetic procedures to present their best selves on their wedding day.A recent British study reveals that over half of brides-to-be and 39% of grooms-to-be plan cosmetic procedures. Surprisingly, 25% of men expressed desire for breast reduction before their wedding.
Conducted on a UK cosmetic surgery advice website, the survey polled over 1,000 engaged couples about pre-wedding cosmetic surgery intentions.
Results revealed significant proportions of respondents considering cosmetic enhancements: over half of female respondents and more than one-third of male respondents had contemplated procedures, while 11% of women and 9% of men had already undergone treatments.
Regarding motivations, most sought improved appearance for their wedding day and to please their partners.
For women, prospective brides showed interest in procedures from head to toe. The most popular choice was Botox injections for wrinkle reduction, followed by teeth whitening considered by over half. An equal proportion opted for liposuction and body contouring, while breast augmentation and facial slimming ranked fourth and fifth with 47% and 43% preference rates respectively.
These days, it's not just brides-to-be who prioritize appearance and want to look their best for marriage. For men, the most popular procedure is also Botox for wrinkle reduction. Additionally, as the primary demographic affected by hair loss, over 41% of grooms-to-be express interest in hair transplants, while 33% consider liposuction.
Surprisingly, one-quarter of men expressed dissatisfaction with their chest size, hoping to undergo breast reduction surgery before their wedding to achieve a more compact appearance.
