According to British media reports, a new study has found that playing soccer is the best way for middle-aged men to build physical strength, control high blood pressure, and prevent strokes.
Researchers discovered that regular soccer players had an average blood pressure reduction of 10 mmHg compared to non-players, a 10% increase in oxygen uptake and exercise capacity, a decrease of 8 beats per minute in resting heart rate, and an average reduction of 1.8 kilograms in body fat.
Professor Peter Krustrup, lead researcher, stated, "Increased exercise benefits hypertension patients by lowering blood pressure," though this long-held belief lacked scientific validation. The new study's data conclusively demonstrates that soccer reduces blood pressure, enhances physical fitness, and burns body fat in middle-aged men. After six months of two-hour daily soccer training, participants' average blood pressure decreased by 13/8 mmHg.Three-quarters of participants achieved normal, healthy blood pressure levels.
Simple Home Exercises to Lower Blood Pressure
A 15-minute daily walk on pebbles can help reduce blood pressure.
The human foot contains numerous acupressure points connected to many nerve pathways throughout the body. Some say the foot is a microcosm of the body. Foot massage can soothe nerves, relieve fatigue, relax the mind, and to some extent help prevent and treat hypertension. If you remain skeptical, observe individuals who regularly practice foot massage. Their vibrant energy and refreshed demeanor will convince you that foot massage can indeed treat hypertension.
Foot Rubbing
Each evening before bed, after soaking feet in warm water, use both hands to rub and knead the toes 20-30 times.Rub the Yongquan acupoint 50-60 times. Then use your right hand to rub the sole of your left foot while your left hand rubs the left calf 80-100 times. Repeat on the opposite side. This stimulates meridians, regulates internal organs, improves blood circulation, lowers blood pressure, strengthens the heart, and calms the mind.
Chest Rubbing
Place your right palm above the left breast, fingers angled downward, and apply moderate pressure to rub downward toward the left lower abdomen; Then use the left palm to push diagonally from above the left breast to the right lower abdomen. Alternate sides in this manner, counting one up-and-down motion as one repetition. Perform 80-100 repetitions total. You may also rub the armpits and back. This rejuvenates "dormant" and "unemployed" thymus cells, enhances thymosin secretion, and boosts immune function. It provides beneficial auxiliary effects for coronary heart disease, hypertension, and pulmonary heart disease.
Buttock Tapping
Originating in Britain, scientific health studies confirm that the pain from tapping the buttocks triggers the brain to release a chemical substance. This substance produces large amounts of endorphins, inducing profound comfort.
