Modern life and work are inseparable from electronic devices. Most people spend over 8 hours daily using them, and frequent screen time easily damages eyes, causing dryness. When dryness occurs, many immediately reach for eye drops. However, these often contain hormones and preservatives, and regular use can harm eyes.To alleviate eye fatigue, we recommend massaging these four acupoints, which can effectively relieve symptoms.
Where to Massage for Dry Eyes Relief
Temple Area
The temple area is well-known, located between the outer edge of the eyebrow and the outer corner of the eye, then one inch toward the back of the head in a slight indentation. When experiencing dry eyes, gently massage this area in circular motions for just 3 minutes each time—avoid prolonged pressure. This technique yields excellent results. During school days, eye exercises often included massaging this point.
Qingming Point
Located in the slight indentation just above the inner corner of each eye, there are two points total—one on each side.To massage, place your index finger and thumb on the points and gently pinch. Apply moderate pressure until a mild aching sensation occurs. Hold for 10 seconds before releasing, repeating several times to effectively relieve dry eyes.
Shangying Point
The Shangying Point is located near the nose. Massaging this area promotes tear secretion, which moisturizes the eyes and alleviates dryness.Place the index fingers of both hands on the Fengchi points and gently press and rub about 30 times to relieve dry eyes and eye fatigue.
