Multiple orthodontic materials available based on individual preferences
The cost of orthodontic treatment is closely tied to the materials used. Currently, there are increasingly diverse orthodontic materials available, "including metal materials and non-metal transparent materials.""Director Chang Shaohai explained that the distinction between these materials lies in their visibility: metal braces are more noticeable and easily detectable, while clear aligners offer a more aesthetically pleasing appearance and are less conspicuous—though they come at a higher price point. He advised patients to select braces based on their budget and specific preferences.
Costs Vary Based on Brace Material
"Regarding orthodontic treatment costs, there are significant variations," Director Chang Shaohai explained. Due to differences in materials and techniques, prices can vary considerably. For instance, straight-wire braces may cost around 50,000 to 60,000 yuan, while some fully transparent aligners can range from 20,000 to 30,000 yuan.Standard braces generally cost around ¥10,000–20,000. Material differences typically add ¥2,000–3,000 to the price. Dr. Chang noted with a smile, "While the total cost may seem substantial at first glance, spreading payments over 20 months means monthly expenses are equivalent to just ¥100 in pocket money."
Note: The above prices are for reference only. Detailed information requires personal consultation at the hospital.
