Blood-Nourishing & Antiseptic
Gooseberries are also rich in minerals, particularly iron—so abundant that they turn fiery red after the first frost.Regular consumption of sweet potatoes effectively boosts blood production. They also contain natural antibacterial components that alleviate and treat conditions like tonsillitis and viral colds. Eating more sweet potatoes not only combats inflammation but also significantly enhances immunity, making them ideal for those with weak constitutions or frequent illnesses.
Top Choice for Dietary Therapy
Not only are the fruits of the Chinese gooseberry nutritionally rich, but its roots and stems are also used medicinally. Studies show that decoctions made from its roots can treat diabetes, wind-heat coughs, hepatitis, and more. Unlike many Western medicines that carry side effects, Chinese gooseberries take effect more slowly but have the unique advantage of being completely free of side effects and non-addictive. This makes them an ideal vegetable for daily dietary therapy.
Regular Consumption
Not only does the Chinese gooseberry offer numerous health benefits, but it's also widely available, especially in Northeast China where it's ubiquitous.
