Ingredients: 2 starfruits, 1 cup self-rising flour (or all-purpose flour), 5 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons sugar syrup (or maltose).
Method:
(1) Wash the starfruit, remove the hard edges, and cut into thick chunks.
(2) Mix the self-rising flour with 3/4 cup water to form a batter. Coat the starfruit chunks thoroughly in the batter.
(3) Remove the battered starfruit pieces and deep-fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
(4) Heat a small amount of oil over low heat. Combine the sugar, maltose, and 1/2 cup water. Cook until thick and syrupy, then remove from heat. The mixture becomes a caramel syrup.
(5) Dip the fried starfruit pieces into the warm caramel syrup to coat evenly.

Ingredients: 150g bread flour, 30g cake flour, 1 1/2 tsp dry yeast, 80ml lukewarm water, 20g butter, 2 tbsp sugar,1/3 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons milk powder. 2 starfruits, 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 1 tablespoon butter (optional), 1 teaspoon egg white, 25g powdered sugar.
Method:
(1) Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Bake starfruit on middle rack for about 15 minutes.
(2) Remove seeds from starfruit and cut into small pieces. Blend until smooth. Add sugar, cornstarch, and butter. Mix well and bring to a boil. Let cool to make the starfruit filling.
(3) After primary fermentation, divide dough into 12 equal portions. Flatten slightly and press a well into the center to form a hollow.
(4) After 30 minutes of proofing, fill the indentations with the filling, brush with egg-sugar glaze, and bake.
(5) Mix powdered sugar with egg white until smooth. Transfer to a small plastic bag and pipe fine threads over the baked buns for decoration. Star Fruit Recipe #5:Starfruit Tea

Ingredients: 2 starfruits, 1/2 pound granulated sugar, black tea to taste.
Method:

(2) Toss the starfruit slices with sugar and marinate. Seal and let sit for one week.adjust sugar quantity to taste.
(3) Boil the pickling liquid with the preserved starfruit slices, then air-dry the slices for later use.
