What Are the Benefits of Coriander Roots?
I. Benefits of Coriander Root Decoction
1. Coriander decoction effectively detoxifies. Coriander, known in traditional Chinese medicine as Yuansui, has the effect of promoting sweating and relieving rashes. It can expel toxins from the body, helping patients recover faster. It is typically used both internally and externally. For external use, boil 4 to 5 ounces of coriander (including roots and leaves) in water, then steam and wash the entire body for about 10 minutes. For internal use, approximately 30 grams is sufficient, taken 1 to 2 times daily, suitable for both adults and children.
Wash coriander with roots, boil in water, and use the broth to wash the face. This effectively regulates sebum secretion, accelerates the shedding of aged keratin and melanin caused by healing from red rash infections, and demonstrates efficacy in clearing wind, heat, and dampness for red rashes that worsen with heat and yellow urine.
2. We can boil coriander roots in water, which has a noticeable effect in treating children's fevers.
Cilantro roots promote blood circulation and induce sweating to reduce fever. More importantly, they strengthen the spleen and stomach. Children often experience recurring fevers due to weak digestive function, making cilantro root juice a dual-action remedy. Use 250g of cilantro roots, washed and placed in a clay pot with 600-700ml of water.Once the liquid reduces to about one-third of its original volume, remove the coriander roots. Drink two to three times daily to alleviate or even eliminate a child's fever.
