This causes electrical components and metal surfaces to oxidize from dampness. Contact resistance may develop at the heating tube sockets, potentially burning out the sockets and other parts, thereby shortening the cabinet's lifespan.Disinfection cabinets should be powered on for disinfection at least 1-2 times per week. This not only kills bacteria but also extends the appliance's lifespan.
Damp utensils: Prone to bacterial growth
Beyond regular disinfection, utensils should be thoroughly dried before loading—a step often overlooked. According to disinfection cabinet guidelines, washed dishes must be wiped dry or air-dried before storage.Similar to refrigerators, disinfection cabinets have excellent sealing properties with limited air circulation. Placing wet dishes inside for extended periods—especially if the cabinet is used solely as a storage cupboard—can cause issues. When the infrared heating tubes remain inactive, moisture-laden air cannot dissipate efficiently. This leads to excessive humidity inside the cabinet, creating an ideal environment for mold growth that can adhere to the utensils.
Disinfection Cabinets Are Not Magic Disinfectors: Avoid Placing Plastic or Painted Plates Inside
In daily life, many people mistakenly regard disinfection cabinets as "magic cabinets" capable of eliminating all germs, and erroneously believe that high-temperature disinfection is the best method. Consequently, they indiscriminately place all items they deem needing disinfection inside.In reality, items like plastic, ceramic bowls, plates, and painted tableware are unsuitable for high-temperature sterilization. It's reported that when operating, the internal temperature of a sterilizer cabinet can reach up to 200°C.Since many plastic products cannot withstand high temperatures, they should not be placed in disinfection cabinets for sterilization.
Similarly, colorful ceramic bowls, plates, and painted tableware are unsuitable for high-temperature disinfection. The glaze and pigments on these items contain heavy metals that can leach out when exposed to temperatures above 200°C, posing risks to human health.
