Women naturally aspire to enhance their charm to attract more attention. Today's standards for facial beauty have evolved beyond double eyelid surgery or rhinoplasty—many now focus on perfecting their brows. Artistic permanent makeup stands out as a popular cosmetic procedure. Let's explore key considerations for this treatment!
Key Considerations for Permanent Makeup:
1. Swelling may persist for several hours post-procedure due to factors like anesthetic dosage, trauma level, and individual constitution. Apply ice packs for 15 minutes immediately after treatment to reduce swelling. Morning swelling can also be alleviated with ice packs.
2. As a minor epidermal procedure, scabs form quickly post-treatment. Gentle cleansing with lukewarm water is permissible on the same day, but avoid vigorous towel rubbing around the eyebrow and eye areas. Use fingertips for gentle cleansing. The scab-shedding phase lasts 3–7 days; never forcibly peel scabs—allow them to fall off naturally.
3. The first six months post-procedure are the pigment stabilization period. The color will gradually fade and settle to its optimal shade over 1–6 months.
4. For 15 days after permanent makeup, drink plenty of plain water or tea. Avoid sugary drinks, spicy foods, seafood, and other irritants. Refrain from smoking and alcohol. Brush teeth diligently. Rinse mouth with mild saltwater after each meal and beverage to maintain oral hygiene.
5. For one hour post-procedure, gently dab any lip exudate with a sterile cotton swab to prevent excessive scab formation and severe color loss. Rinse with mild saline solution daily upon waking, after meals, and before bed to keep the treated area dry and clean.
