First, the technique: Microblading involves inserting needles vertically into the skin, causing more discomfort. Since only a limited number of needles can be used per pass, the coloring process takes longer. Embroidery, however, uses needles inserted at a 45-degree angle, resulting in less pain. Additionally, embroidery allows for more needles per pass, significantly reducing the required time.
Second, in tools: Microblading uses a "single needle" or "three needles" combined with electric tools to deposit pigment into the skin one needle at a time. Embroidery uses 12 or 16 needles arranged at a 45-degree angle to deposit a larger amount of pigment into the skin in a single pass, like embroidery, entirely by hand without electric assistance.
Thirdly, in materials: traditional eyebrow tattooing often uses water-based pigments with weaker viscosity; embroidery eyebrows utilize cream-based pigments with stronger viscosity. This allows pigment to more readily enter the subcutaneous layer with the needle, facilitating easier color application.
Finally, in terms of results, embroidery causes minimal trauma and avoids mixing with the skin's natural yellow pigment, preventing color fading. Conversely, tattooing risks penetrating too deeply. If pigment is accidentally introduced into deeper layers and mixes with the skin's yellow pigment, it can turn greenish or bluish, making correction difficult.
