Many women experience hyperplasia after lip line tattooing. To avoid this, it's crucial to choose a reputable cosmetic hospital beforehand to determine suitability. Post-procedure care is also essential: consume plenty of fruits and water, and prevent infection.
I. To avoid lip line hyperplasia, first undergo a medical examination to assess suitability for cosmetic procedures like lip tattooing or embroidery.
Experts indicate the following groups should not undergo lip line tattooing:
1. Individuals with active lip conditions such as herpes, perioral dermatitis, or eczema;
2. Those with skin diseases, allergic constitutions, or keloid tendencies, including psoriasis, generalized neurodermatitis, or allergic dermatitis;
3. Individuals with fever (including low-grade fever), colds, hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes;
4. Those who are indecisive, mentally unstable, or have unrealistically high expectations;
5. Women during menstruation or pregnancy. During menstruation, besides lowered immunity, heightened hormone secretion can cause capillary dilation and increased bleeding risk.
II. Post-Procedure Care
1. Local Reactions
A small number of patients may experience burning, itching, and mild tightness along the lip border for 3-5 days after lip tattooing.This may be followed by erythema, clustered papules, or several millet-sized vesicles. Rarely, a single soybean-sized vesicle may appear. Vesicles rupture, dry, and form scabs, healing within approximately one week. Patients should be advised to avoid scratching, increase water intake, and consume ample fruit.Maintain oral and wound hygiene. For wound cleansing, alternate between gentamicin and metronidazole solutions every 2 hours for 20 minutes each application. Alternatively, take oral Niu Huang Jie Du Pills (4-5 tablets twice daily) and Virkon (1 tablet three times daily) for 3-5 days.
2. Infection Management
Prioritize prevention. For severe infections, administer intravenous drip of 250ml 10% glucose solution with 100ml metronidazole, or 250ml 10% glucose solution with 5mg dexamethasone, or other effective antibiotics.For allergic reactions, in addition to topical application or wet compresses of gentamicin solution mixed with dexamethasone, anti-allergic drugs and antibiotics may be administered as appropriate. Promptly eliminate allergens. Patients with lip herpes should receive antiviral treatment promptly, such as oral Virkon, Vitamin C, Niu Huang Jiedu Tablets, or intravenous acyclovir.
3. Post-Procedure Psychological Care
Some patients may experience abnormal psychological phenomena after lip tattooing due to internal or external factors. Examples include excessive suspicion, depression, or criticism from friends and family, which can severely impact the patient's physical and mental well-being. Therefore, thorough consultation and explanation are crucial.
