Fiery red lips are a woman's most potent weapon, instantly drawing men into her spell. Thus, plump, vibrant lips are crucial. Below, we detail specific precautions for lip tattooing.
After lip tattooing, the large wound area on the lips reduces resistance, making it highly susceptible to bacterial and viral infections from the oral cavity and external sources, potentially leading to inflammation or herpes simplex. These blisters often appear along the outer edges beyond the lip line or on the skin outside the lips, typically starting around the third day post-procedure. In some cases, blisters may develop 7 to 10 days after the wound has healed.Within 1-2 days of blistering, complications like bleeding, abscesses, pain, fever, and secondary anaerobic bacterial infections may occur.
Psychological Care
Some individuals experience abnormal psychological reactions post-procedure due to internal or external factors, such as excessive suspicion, depression, or criticism from friends and family, which can severely impact their mental and physical well-being. Therefore, thorough consultation and explanation are crucial.
Daily Care
1. Apply intermittent cold compresses for 24 hours post-procedure. Take anti-inflammatory medication for 3-4 days and apply topically.
2. Avoid hot, scalding, or spicy foods for 7 days post-procedure. Increase intake of fruits and vegetables.
3. Rinse mouth with mild saline solution after meals to maintain oral and lip hygiene.
4. Allow scabs to fall off naturally. Do not peel them off manually to prevent scarring.
Local Reactions
1. Due to individual differences, some individuals may experience varying degrees of color dullness or darkening after lip tattooing. This is caused by physical trauma, hyperpigmentation predisposition, or post-infection pigmentation. It typically resolves within months without treatment.
2. Some individuals may experience localized burning, itching, or mild tightness along the lip border post-procedure, followed by erythema, papules, or blisters. Avoid scratching. Increase water intake and consume more fruits. Symptoms typically resolve within one week.
