Lip tattooing is one of the more common lip cosmetic procedures, used to correct unfavorable lip shapes and improve pale, lackluster lip color. Tattoo artists note that thorough preoperative preparation leads to better results. Therefore, understanding the preoperative preparations for lip tattooing is essential.
The following preoperative preparations are required for lip tattooing:
1. Three days prior to the procedure, individuals with compromised immunity must take broad-spectrum antibiotics orally or via intravenous drip to create an optimal physical environment for the entire lip tattooing process.
2. Starting three days before the procedure, patients must adhere to dietary restrictions, primarily avoiding pungent, spicy, or irritating foods such as raw garlic, raw onions, and chili peppers.Additionally, avoid peanuts, sunflower seeds, seafood, and similar foods. This dietary restriction must be maintained throughout the entire lip tattooing process until the wound is fully healed, typically about one week.
3. Choose an appropriate time. Generally, women should avoid scheduling the procedure during their menstrual period; the week following menstruation is recommended.
4.If you frequently experience seasonal cold sores on your lips, in addition to intravenous or oral antibiotics, supplement with vitamin C three days before the procedure. Continue taking vitamin C and antiviral medication for five days after the procedure.
Editor's Note: To achieve the best results, beauty enthusiasts must strictly adhere to dietary restrictions before the procedure and have a detailed consultation with the cosmetic tattoo artist before undergoing lip tattooing.
