1.Avoid bathing immediately after a large meal
Some women habitually bathe right after eating without considering the timing. Why do we often recommend bathing before bed rather than after meals? Because bathing after a heavy meal causes blood vessels throughout the body to dilate in response to hot water, reducing blood supply to the abdominal cavity. This can easily lead to indigestion and, in severe cases, fainting or collapse. Therefore, women should bathe before bedtime, after food has been fully digested.
2. Avoid bathing immediately after strenuous exercise
Many women like to shower right after intense workouts to wash off sweat. However, whether it's strenuous physical labor or excessive mental exertion, bathing immediately afterward is inadvisable. This can easily cause insufficient blood supply to the brain, which is detrimental to health. Women should take note.
3. Avoid bathing when blood pressure is low
Some women with low blood pressure often experience dizziness during showers, which is related to their condition. Therefore, women with low blood pressure should refrain from bathing when their blood pressure is low, as this can easily lead to insufficient blood supply to the brain and fainting. It is also recommended that women with low blood pressure adjust their blood pressure to normal levels.
4. Avoid bathing when experiencing a cold or fever
When suffering from a cold or fever, refrain from bathing. The body is already weakened during illness and must avoid exposure to cold. Bathing under these conditions increases the risk of complications and further compromises physical health. Prioritize warmth and avoid catching a chill.
5. Opt for warm water over cold when bathing
In summer, many women bathe with cold water for its refreshing effect. However, cold water has lower moisture content, causing the body to feel chilled, nerves to tense, and muscles to contract. This not only fails to relieve fatigue but may even trigger colds. Cold water bathing is especially inadvisable in autumn and winter.
Women should take bathing practices seriously. Avoid taking baths during menstruation, breastfeeding, or postpartum recovery periods. Since women naturally have a yin-dominant constitution, exposure to cold water can disrupt endocrine function, cause amenorrhea, abdominal pain, and other issues. Neglecting this can lead to gynecological disorders, significantly impacting women's health.
