Many beauty enthusiasts struggle with large buttocks. While a curvy figure can be attractive, excessively large buttocks can appear disproportionate. In reality, excessive buttock size is primarily caused by fat deposits, which can be addressed through fat removal. So, what should you be aware of regarding buttock liposuction?
Liposuction Technique
Needle insertion points: The upper buttocks share the same entry points as the waist. For the lower buttocks, access is gained laterally, focusing on removing fat from the outer hip area. When suctioning the gluteal crease, only the central portion is addressed, preserving the inner half and outer third of the fat. This lifts the crease while maintaining a natural contour.post-surgery buttock sagging is minimized, and lower limb length is visually elongated.
For pronounced mid-buttock depressions, harvested fat particles can be injected and transplanted into these areas, creating a slightly outward-curving arc.
For areas with cheese-like deformities, superficial liposuction techniques should be employed. Address each area systematically based on preoperative markings and photographs. For uncertain areas, simulate gravitational effects by applying pressure from the upper to lower extremities to observe surface irregularities. Postoperative compression bandaging and elastic garments are used for fixation and contouring.
What to Consider During Buttock Liposuction
Buttock fat removal requires a tailored plan based on the deformity's morphology, employing a systematic, stepwise approach.
Sacral Triangle Area: Also known as the Bermuda Triangle (the triangular zone bounded by the coccyx tip and the midpoints of the bilateral gluteal creases), this is a contraindicated area for liposuction.
Inner 1/2 and outer 1/3 of the gluteal crease: Fat in this area provides structural support to the buttocks. Complete removal of fat from the entire gluteal crease may yield favorable intraoperative contouring but often leads to postoperative buttock ptosis or the formation of a double crease beneath the buttocks, significantly compromising aesthetic results.
Autologous Fat Particle Injection Technique: Injecting fat particles into the mid-buttock hollows can achieve superior postoperative results. The injection volume here is higher than in other areas, reaching up to 200ml, with a high survival rate post-transplantation.
