Quchi Point (LI11): Located in the depression at the outer end of the elbow crease when the elbow is bent. Apply moxa stick directly to this point for about 5 minutes to help relieve arm swelling and pain.
Ashi Point: The Ashi point is the tender spot at the site of elbow pathology—meaning the point of pain is the point itself.Moxibustion at the Ashi point for about 10 minutes effectively relaxes tendons, promotes blood circulation, reduces swelling, and relieves pain.
Hydrotherapy Method
The hydrotherapy method is simple: soak the upper arm in warm water for half an hour before performing elbow exercises. Additionally, after exercise, you can place the joint in ice. This has been proven to effectively relieve pain caused by tennis elbow. Consult an experienced user before use.
Manual Therapy
Have someone rotate your arm in the opposite direction of the upper arm pain. Hold this position for 90 seconds before releasing. Repeat this method multiple times daily. Of course, this technique can also be performed under the guidance of an orthopedic doctor.
Dietary Therapy
Prepare 30 grams of Sanqi (Panax notoginseng) and 500 milliliters of white liquor.Combine the Sanqi and liquor in a bottle, steep for 7 days, then consume. Take 5–10 milliliters, 2–3 times daily, for 7–10 consecutive days.
Prepare 7 sorghum roots, 1 egg, and a small amount of sugar. Wash the sorghum roots, boil them in water to make a decoction, strain out the residue, then use this liquid to boil the egg. Add sugar and consume. Take 1–2 times daily for one week as a treatment course.
Care Guidelines
1. Avoid activities that strain the elbow during treatment to prevent recurrence;
2. For severe pain, suspend the forearm in a cloth sling around the neck while ensuring warmth and rest;
3. Elbow functional exercises may be performed concurrently with treatment. Consult your physician for specifics.
