Researchers from Harvard University used human pluripotent stem cells to cultivate skin organoids, gradually producing skin tissues such as hair follicles, sebaceous glands, and neural circuits.Subsequently, scientists transplanted these cultivated skin organoids onto the skin of immunodeficient mice. Remarkably, over half of the grafts grew hair measuring 2-5 millimeters in length!

However, the growth efficiency of artificial skin hair remains low—requiring 140 days of preparation before mouse implantation—and there is currently no evidence that the hair can regrow cyclically. These challenges demand urgent scientific solutions.Why is hair loss so common among young people today? If you lose 50-100 hairs daily, it signals a potential hair loss crisis. Losing over 100 hairs per day indicates existing hair loss conditions requiring prompt diagnosis and treatment. So what causes widespread hair loss among young adults? 3. Hormonal Imbalance. Many young people experience hair loss due to elevated levels of androgens in the body. This type of hair loss is common among young adults with active sebaceous glands.
